Ingredients

  • 2 or more lb. hamburger
  • 2 or 3 carrots, sliced
  • 3 bouillon cubes
  • 3 cups water
  • 5 or 6 potatoes, chopped

Instructions

  1. Brown the hamburger in a large skillet or pot over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced carrots, chopped potatoes, chopped onion, bouillon cubes, and water to the browned beef.
  3. Cook until vegetables are tender and flavors meld, about 30-40 minutes.
  4. In a small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of flour with a little water to create a slurry.
  5. Stir the flour mixture into the cooked mixture to thicken the broth.
  6. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  7. Serve immediately.
