Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow or spice cake mix
  • 2 large cans peaches, drained
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Spread brown sugar on the bottom of a 9 x 12-inch pan.
  2. Chop the drained peaches and place them on top of the brown sugar in the pan.
  3. Sprinkle the peaches with cinnamon and nutmeg to taste.
  4. Mix the cake according to the package directions, replacing the water with the reserved peach juice.
  5. Pour the cake batter over the peaches in the pan.
  6. Bake at 350° F for 1 hour or until the cake springs back when touched.
