Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 lb. boneless rump roast
  • 1 oz. envelope onion soup mix
  • 1 cup Burgundy or other dry red wine or beef broth

Instructions

  1. Place the boneless rump roast in a Dutch oven and sprinkle with the onion soup mix.
  2. Pour the red wine or beef broth over the roast.
  3. Cover the Dutch oven and bake at 325°F (163°C) for 2 hours, or until the roast is tender.
