Ingredients

  • 1 can pineapple chunks
  • 3/4 cup vinegar
  • 1 1/4 cup sugar
  • 6 to 8 whole cloves
  • 1 stick cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Drain pineapple chunks, saving 3/4 cup of syrup.
  2. Set pineapple aside.
  3. Place the syrup, vinegar, sugar, whole cloves, and cinnamon stick into a saucepan and simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Add the pineapple chunks to the syrup mixture and bring to a boil.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool.
  6. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
  7. Serve the spiced pineapple chunks on toothpicks.
