Easy Sweet Crispy Dill Pickles

Ingredients

  • 1 qt. jar dill pickles, drained
  • 2 1/4 c. white sugar
  • garlic cloves
  • 1 1/2 c. white vinegar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. ground allspice

Instructions

  1. Rinse pickles with cold water after draining the juice and drain again.
  2. Cut pickles into slices and place them in one or more jars.
  3. Make a syrup by combining white vinegar and sugar.
  4. Bring the syrup to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat, stir in ground allspice, and pour the hot syrup over the pickles.
  6. Add a clove of garlic{each jar:1} and seal the jars.
  7. Refrigerate the jars; the pickles are ready to eat in 2 days.
