- Rinse pickles with cold water after draining the juice and drain again.
- Cut pickles into slices and place them in one or more jars.
- Make a syrup by combining white vinegar and sugar.
- Bring the syrup to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat, stir in ground allspice, and pour the hot syrup over the pickles.
- Add a clove of garlic{each jar:1} and seal the jars.
- Refrigerate the jars; the pickles are ready to eat in 2 days.
