Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 jars Kraft Old English cheese spread
  • 1 1/2 sticks butter
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 12 slices bread
  • 8 eggs
  • 3 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 can cubed chunky ham or 1 lb cooled drained pork sausage

Instructions

  1. Soften and mix together the cheese spread, butter, and dry mustard.
  2. Spread the mixture on one side of each bread slice and layer them in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
  3. Beat the eggs with the milk.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the layered bread.
  5. Add cubed ham or sausage if desired.
  6. Bake at 325°F for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until set, covering for the first 45 minutes.
  7. The dish can be prepared the night before and refrigerated; just bake a little longer if chilled.
  8. Serve with diluted mushroom soup if desired.
