Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage, shredded
  • 4 to 5 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 4 Tbsp. bacon drippings
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. bell pepper, chopped

Instructions

  1. Fry bacon and set aside.
  2. Saute onion and bell pepper in bacon drippings.
  3. Drain and reserve 3 to 4 tablespoons of the grease.
  4. Put the cabbage in the grease and fry, stirring until cooked but still crisp.
  5. Add the crumbled bacon, onion, and bell pepper mixture just before completion of cooking.
