Ingredients

  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 12 slices bread
  • 1 lb Velveeta cheese
  • 2 cups diced ham, sausage or bacon
  • 1/2 cup melted margarine
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 quart milk

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. Break the bread into small pieces and spread evenly in the prepared pan.
  3. Cut the Velveeta cheese into slices and layer over the bread.
  4. Add the cooked ham, sausage, or bacon over the cheese.
  5. Pour the melted margarine over the top.
  6. In a bowl, beat the eggs, milk, salt, and dry mustard together.
  7. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bread, cheese, and meat.
  8. Chill the casserole overnight.
  9. Bake uncovered at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour or until firm.
