Ingredients

  • 5 cups sifted flour
  • 4 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 1/2 cups shortening
  • 2 egg yolks
  • water

Instructions

  1. Combine dry ingredients; cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Place egg yolks in a cup and stir with a fork.
  3. Stir in enough cold water to fill the cup and toss with a fork to make a soft dough.
  4. Divide the dough to line and top three 2-crust pies.
