Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 1/4 cup oleo
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Beat shortening and oleo with electric mixer on medium to high speed for about 30 seconds.
  3. Add half of the flour, sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla.
  4. Beat until thoroughly combined.
  5. Beat in remaining flour.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
  8. Leave cookies on sheet 1 minute before removing.
