Ingredients

  • 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (8 oz.) jar Cheez Whiz
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
  • 2 c. chopped, cooked chicken
  • 12 (6-inch) corn tortillas
  • 1 (8 oz.) jar mild taco sauce
  • 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 c. chopped tomatoes
  • 1 c. shredded lettuce

Instructions

  1. Drain the chiles.
  2. Combine the cream of chicken soup, Cheez Whiz, and ground cumin in a bowl.
  3. Mix well until smooth.
  4. Add the cooked chicken and drained chiles to the mixture and stir.
  5. Spread 1/2 cup of the chicken mixture over the bottom of a 3 3/4 x 7 1/2-inch baking dish.
  6. Dip 4 tortillas in taco sauce and layer over the chicken mixture.
  7. Spread 1/3 of the remaining chicken mixture over the tortillas.
  8. Repeat the layers of tortillas dipped in taco sauce and chicken mixture two more times.
  9. Cover the dish and bake at 350°F for 39 minutes.
  10. Top with shredded lettuce and chopped tomatoes before serving.
