Ingredients

  • 2 cups Bisquick mix
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease the bottom of a loaf pan.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the Bisquick mix, whole wheat flour, cornmeal, sugar, and baking powder.
  4. Add water, molasses, and the egg to the dry ingredients.
  5. Mix until just moistened and smooth.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
