Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 5 c. self-rising flour
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 1 1/2 c. lukewarm water
  • 1 pkg. yeast

Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast, sugar, and 1/2 cup water; set aside to rise before mixing all together.
  2. Mix all ingredients and put in a buttered bowl.
  3. Let the dough rise until doubled in size.
  4. Roll out the dough and cut into biscuits.
  5. Dip the biscuits in melted margarine.
  6. Fold the dipped biscuits over and place in a pan.
  7. Cover with a warm cloth and let rise again.
  8. Bake at 425°F for 25 minutes or until done. Brush with melted margarine before serving.
