Ingredients

  • 1 box Duncan Hines butter cake mix
  • 2 sticks margarine or butter
  • 2 cans cherry pie filling
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or dry oatmeal

Instructions

  1. Pour cherry pie filling into the bottom of a cake pan.
  2. Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly over the cherries without stirring.
  3. Melt butter and pour it over the cake mix layer.
  4. Sprinkle chopped pecans or dry oatmeal over the top.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes.
  6. Let cool slightly or serve warm with ice cream.
