Ingredients

  • 9 medium to large potatoes
  • 1 large carton sour cream
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 2 cups grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1 cube butter or margarine
  • 3 green onions

Instructions

  1. Combine sour cream, cream of chicken soup, margarine, chopped green onions, and half of the grated Cheddar cheese in a saucepan and heat.
  2. Peel and grate the boiled potatoes.
  3. Pour half of the warm cream mixture over the grated potatoes.
  4. Layer the remaining grated potatoes over the first layer and pour the rest of the cream mixture on top.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  6. Spread the remaining cheese over the potatoes and bake for an additional 10 minutes at 350°F.
