Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter flavor Crisco
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. almond extract
  • 2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 400°.
  2. Cream butter flavor Crisco and sugar in a large bowl at medium speed of an electric mixer until well blended.
  3. Beat in the egg, salt, vanilla, and almond extract.
  4. Stir in flour.
  5. Place dough in cookie press.
  6. Press into desired shapes 2 inches apart on a cooled, ungreased baking sheet.
  7. Bake at 400° for 5 to 7 minutes or until set, but not brown.
  8. Cool on baking sheet for one minute.
  9. Remove to cooling rack.
