Ingredients

  • 20 oz. can crushed pineapple (undrained)
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 3 oz. package lemon jello
  • 8 oz. package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup finely diced unpeeled apples
  • 1/2 to 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • lettuce leaves

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine crushed pineapple (undrained) and sugar.
  2. Bring to a boil and boil for 3 minutes.
  3. Add lemon jello and stir until dissolved.
  4. Add softened cream cheese and stir until mixture is thoroughly combined.
  5. Allow to cool.
  6. Fold in finely diced unpeeled apples, chopped celery, chopped nuts, and whipped topping.
  7. Pour into a 9-inch square baking pan.
  8. Chill until firm.
  9. Cut into squares and serve on lettuce leaves.
