Ingredients

  • 2 cans French style green beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can sliced water chestnuts, drained
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 can French fried onions
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine drained green beans, drained water chestnuts, and cream of chicken soup (or cream of mushroom soup if substituting).
  3. Mix half of the fried onions into the bean mixture.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a casserole dish and spread evenly.
  5. Top with the remaining fried onions and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until hot and bubbly.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy.
