Ingredients

  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 5 or 6 large potatoes, sliced
  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 1 cup grated cheese
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix the cream of celery soup and cream of mushroom soup together in a bowl.
  2. Butter or grease a casserole dish or pan.
  3. Arrange a layer of sliced potatoes, sliced onions, and a portion of the soup mixture in the dish.
  4. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used.
  5. Dot the top layer with margarine or butter.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour.
  7. Sprinkle grated cheese and paprika on top of the casserole.
  8. Bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
