Ingredients

  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Melt margarine in an oblong pan.
  2. Mix sugar, baking powder, salt, flour, milk, and vanilla together.
  3. Pour the batter over the melted margarine.
  4. Cook and prepare peaches separately, then place cooked peaches on top of the batter.
  5. Bake at 325°F until the dough rises to the top and browns nicely.
  6. Serve warm, ideally with ice cream.
