Ingredients

  • 9 c. whole milk
  • 9 eggs
  • 9 Tbsp. bourbon
  • 9 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 c. whipping cream
  • 1 pt. vanilla ice cream

Instructions

  1. Separate the egg yolks and whites.
  2. Beat the yolks until thick and then add the sugar.
  3. Stir this mixture into the milk and add the bourbon.
  4. Whip the cream until soft peaks form.
  5. Add the whipped cream to the mixture and fold in the well-beaten egg whites.
  6. Pour into an eggnog bowl.
  7. Just before serving, add the vanilla ice cream, break it into small pieces, and stir to mix thoroughly.
