Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons shortening
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 package yeast
  • 1/4 cup lukewarm water
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  2. Divide the dough and place portions into muffin tins (it will be sticky).
  3. Let the dough rise in muffin tins for at least 3 hours.
  4. Cover with a light cloth to allow further rising.
  5. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 10 minutes.
