Ingredients

  • 8 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 3 medium onions, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 1 Tbsp salt
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Put potatoes, onions, margarine, salt, and pepper in a 4-quart saucepan.
  2. Add enough water to cover the ingredients well.
  3. Cook until the potatoes and onions are tender.
  4. Turn the heat to low and add milk.
  5. Cook on low for 15 to 30 minutes.
  6. Serve hot, preferably with cornbread.
