Ingredients

  • 20 oz. can sliced pineapple
  • 17 oz. can apricots
  • 16 oz. can peaches
  • 15 oz. can spiced apple rings
  • 16 oz. can pears
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 cup dry sherry

Instructions

  1. Drain the canned fruits.
  2. Layer pineapple, apricots, peaches, apple rings, and pears in a glass baking dish.
  3. Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat.
  4. Add sugar and cornstarch; mix well.
  5. Gradually stir in the sherry.
  6. Cook over low heat until the mixture thickens, stirring constantly.
  7. Pour the sauce over the layered fruit.
  8. Chill the dish, covered, overnight.
  9. Bake uncovered at 350°F for 30 to 40 minutes.
  10. Serve as a breakfast side dish.
