- Combine

- ingredients and sift together in a mixing bowl. Combine
- egg,
- milk and shortening and pour all at once into mixing
- bowl with dry ingredients. Mix until thoroughly blended. Pour
- a
- small
- amount
- of batter onto hot, greased skillet or griddle and cook on one side until bubbles form all over
- top
- of pancake,
- then turn pancake over and cook other side.
- Makes 6 to 8 medium sized pancakes.
