Ingredients

  • 1 c. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 2 Tbsp. melted shortening or vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Combine

  3. ingredients and sift together in a mixing bowl. Combine

  5. milk and shortening and pour all at once into mixing
  6. bowl with dry ingredients. Mix until thoroughly blended. Pour

  10. of batter onto hot, greased skillet or griddle and cook on one side until bubbles form all over
  11. top
  12. of pancake,
  13. then turn pancake over and cook other side.
  14. Makes 6 to 8 medium sized pancakes.
