Instructions
- In large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water.
- Blend in ginger and 1 tablespoon sugar; let stand in warm place until mixture begins to bubble.
- Using an electric mixer, stir in remaining 2 tablespoons sugar, milk, salt, oil and 3 cups flour.
- Blend in remaining cup of flour with spoon; knead on floured surface. Place dough in 2 well-greased one-pound coffee cans.
- Place plastic lids on cans; let dough rise until lids are pushed off. Bake in preheated 350° oven for 45 minutes.
- Delicious frozen and reheated.
