Ingredients

  • 8 to 10 medium potatoes
  • 1 oz. package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 oz. carton sour cream
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1/4 cup grated cheese

Instructions

  1. Pare and cook potatoes in water until tender, about 30 to 40 minutes.
  2. Drain, mash, and beat in cream cheese, sour cream, and garlic salt until light and fluffy.
  3. Spoon into a buttered 2-quart casserole.
  4. Dot with butter, sprinkle with grated cheese and paprika.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour.
  6. May be made ahead and refrigerated. Allow an extra half hour baking time.
