  1. Combine sugar, margarine, milk, and salt in a heavy 3-quart saucepan; bring to a full rolling boil over high heat, stirring constantly.
  2. Continue boiling over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. Remove from heat; stir in peanut butter until melted.
  4. Add marshmallow cream and vanilla; beat until well blended.
  5. Fold in candies; immediately spread into a greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
  6. Cool; cut into squares.
