Fig Preserves Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups unsweetened applesauce
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 (16 ounce) jar fig preserves (no sugar added)
  • 1 cup pecan pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Beat together first 3 ingredients.
  3. In another bowl sift together the next 5 ingredients.
  4. Add to wet ingredients and stir in fig preserves and pecans.
  5. Spoon into 2 greased and floured loaf pans. (Mine are 5x9).
  6. Bake for 55-65 minutes.
