Ingredients

  • 2 pkg yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups scalded milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup Puritan oil
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water and add 1 teaspoon sugar.
  2. Allow to stand for 10 minutes.
  3. Stir in scalded milk, oil, and the rest of the sugar.
  4. Let it cool slightly, then add the beaten eggs.
  5. Add the yeast mixture to the bowl.
  6. Gradually add the sifted flour, mixing well.
  7. Knead the dough until it is soft and elastic.
  8. Set the dough aside in a bowl covered with a towel and let it rise.
  9. Once risen, roll out the dough and fill as desired.
