Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 beaten eggs
  • 1/2 cup grated Swiss cheese
  • dash of nutmeg
  • salt
  • white pepper
  • 2 strips cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 6 oz shredded crabmeat, shell and cartilage removed

Instructions

  1. Scald the milk and then remove from heat to let cool.
  2. Stir in the beaten eggs, grated Swiss cheese, nutmeg, salt, and white pepper.
  3. Divide the mixture evenly into two bowls.
  4. Add crumbled bacon to one mixture and shredded crabmeat to the other.
  5. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  6. Arrange the tartlet shells on a greased baking sheet.
  7. Fill 14 shells with the bacon mixture and 14 with the crabmeat mixture.
  8. Bake for 15 minutes until golden and heated through.
  9. Serve the tartlets warm.
