Ingredients

  • 3 lb. chicken wings
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
  • 4 tsp. pepper
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 1/3 c. lemon juice
  • 1/4 c. soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake chicken wings for 30 minutes.
  2. Mix sugar, cornstarch, salt, ground ginger, pepper, water, lemon juice, and soy sauce in a saucepan.
  3. Cook the mixture over medium heat until it thickens.
  4. Brush the thickened sauce over the baked chicken wings.
  5. Continue baking the wings, turning and brushing with the sauce, until all the sauce is used.
  6. Cook for about 40 minutes more until wings are cooked through and glazed.
  7. Serve hot.
