- Add flour gradually, stirring until the dough is thick.
- Knead the dough until smooth.
- Let rise in a greased bowl until doubled in size, covering with plastic wrap.
- Shape the dough as desired (buns, cinnamon rolls, or coffee cake).
- Form into a circle in a round pan and slash with scissors.
- Let rise again until doubled.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 40 to 45 minutes, or 25 minutes for rolls.
- Frost with powdered sugar icing, nuts, cherries, or serve with hot coffee and sugar.
- For glaze, sprinkle with sugar.
