- Drain boiled beans and mix them in beer. Let sit for 1 to 2 hours.
- Slice green bell pepper and bacon into short, fine strips.
- Add barbecue sauce to the beans and beer mixture, then bring to a rapid boil over medium heat.
- Transfer the mixture to an ovenproof pan.
- Add remaining ingredients: sliced bacon, sliced peppers, cayenne pepper, salt, molasses, and beer.
- Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 1 hour.
