Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 1 (14 oz.) can regular milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the sugar until it turns golden caramel.
  3. Pour the caramel into a flan mold or individual ramekins, tilting to coat the bottom evenly.
  4. In a blender, combine the condensed milk, regular milk, eggs, and vanilla. Blend until smooth.
  5. Pour the mixture over the caramel in the mold(s).
  6. Place the mold(s) in a large baking pan and add hot water to reach halfway up the sides of the mold(s).
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes or until set.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
  9. To serve, run a knife around the edges and invert onto a serving plate.
