Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup salad oil
  • 3/4 cup vinegar
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1 medium head cabbage
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 carrots

Instructions

  1. Combine salad oil, vinegar, sugar, salt, and celery seed in a bowl and stir until sugar dissolves.
  2. Shred the cabbage and chop the green pepper and onion finely.
  3. Grate the carrots.
  4. Mix all the vegetables into the dressing until well coated.
  5. Adjust seasonings to taste and refrigerate before serving.
