Instructions
- Combine flour, orange peel, paprika and 1 teaspoon of the salt and pepper.
- Coat chicken.
- Save 3 tablespoons flour mixture. Heat shortening in skillet.
- Brown chicken on both sides.
- Add water.
- Cover and simmer for about 40 minutes; turn occasionally. Add water, if necessary.
- Remove chicken.
- Pour off all but 3 tablespoons drippings.
- Add saved flour and blend well.
- Combine remaining ingredients and add gradually, stirring constantly. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture boils.
- Pour over the chicken.
- Good served on platter alone or over rice.
- Garnish with orange slices.
