A delightful layered dessert combining crispy rice treats, toasted nuts, coconut, and creamy ice cream, perfect for summer gatherings or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 8 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 2 1/2 c. Rice Krispies
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 c. coconut
  • 1/2 gal. ice cream

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, bring butter and brown sugar to a boil, stirring constantly.
  2. In a bowl, combine Rice Krispies, chopped nuts, and coconut.
  3. Pour the butter sauce over the Rice Krispies mixture and mix well.
  4. Press half of the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
  5. Spread softened ice cream evenly over the Rice Krispies layer.
  6. Top with the remaining half of the Rice Krispies mixture.
  7. Freeze the dessert before serving.
