Ingredients

  • 3 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/3 c. corn oil or bacon drippings
  • 1 1/4 c. lukewarm water

Instructions

  1. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt through your fingers.
  2. Add corn oil or bacon drippings to the dry ingredients.
  3. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
  4. Add lukewarm water and knead the dough until it does not stick to your hands.
  5. Knead for 1 minute to develop gluten.
