Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the milk, egg, and melted butter.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in your favorite add-ins such as berries, nuts, or chocolate chips if desired.
  6. Line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease it lightly.
  7. Pour the batter into the muffin cups, filling each about two-thirds full.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the muffins are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
