Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. chuck steak or roast
  • 1 can (10 1/2 oz.) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
  • 3 medium carrots
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 3 medium potatoes
  • 2 Tbsp. water

Instructions

  1. Heat the oven to 450°F.
  2. Place foil in a baking dish and put the meat on the foil.
  3. Stir together the mushroom soup and dry onion soup mix.
  4. Spread the mushroom mixture over the meat.
  5. Top with quartered carrots, potatoes, and celery pieces.
  6. Sprinkle with water over the vegetables.
  7. Fold the foil over the meat and vegetables and seal tightly.
  8. Bake for 1 1/2 hours or until the meat is tender.
