Ingredients

  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1/2 head shredded cabbage
  • 2 potatoes, diced
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 1 Tbsp. black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. red pepper
  • 2 tsp. vinegar
  • hot sauce to taste
  • 1 lb. sausage
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 c. black-eyed peas
  • 1 c. pork and beans
  • 1 c. tomatoes
  • 1 c. lima beans
  • 2 lb. chopped barbecue
  • 1 c. whole kernel corn
  • 1/2 bottle ketchup

Instructions

  1. Combine the chopped onion, shredded cabbage, diced potatoes, diced carrots, black pepper, red pepper, vinegar, and hot sauce in a large pot.
  2. Add enough water to cover the ingredients and cook until the vegetables are tender.
  3. Add the sausage, ground beef, black-eyed peas, pork and beans, tomatoes, lima beans, chopped barbecue, whole kernel corn, and ketchup.
  4. Simmer all ingredients together until the mixture thickens and flavors meld.
