Ingredients

  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Line a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan with foil, extending the foil over the edges of the pan.
  2. Set aside.
  3. In a heavy saucepan over low heat, melt the chocolate chips with sweetened condensed milk and salt.
  4. Remove from heat; stir in walnuts, if desired, and vanilla extract.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared pan.
  6. Refrigerate for 2 hours or until the fudge is firm.
  7. Use the foil to lift the fudge out of the pan.
  8. Place the fudge on a cutting board.
  9. Peel off the foil.
  10. Cut into shapes with cookie cutters.
  11. Store the fudge, tightly covered, in a cool, dry place.
