Ingredients

  • 1 lb chopped beef
  • 3 eggs
  • 4 oz grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 Tbsp sour cream
  • 1 big potato
  • 4 oz butter
  • 1/2 filet herring
  • 1 big onion

Instructions

  1. Saute meat and onion until tender.
  2. Grind meat, onion, herring, potato, and butter through a meat grinder.
  3. Add 3 egg yolks, sour cream, and grated Parmesan cheese to the mixture.
  4. Beat the egg whites until foamy and fold them gradually into the meat mixture.
  5. Grease a Pyrex dish and pour in the mixture.
  6. Sprinkle with bread crumbs.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 1/2 hours.
