Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1 stalk celery, finely chopped
  • 1 carrot, sliced very thin
  • 1 small can kidney beans, drained
  • 1 large can tomatoes, undrained
  • 2 c. tomato juice
  • chili powder to taste
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown beef, adding onion, celery and carrot.
  2. After beef is browned through, add rest of ingredients and bring to a boil.
  3. (No need to add salt; canned ingredients have more than enough!) Simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
  4. This tasty chili will satisfy even the hungriest bears in your den!
