Ingredients

  • 1 quart frozen green beans
  • 1 large onion
  • 16 oz. can round potatoes
  • 1 large slice country cured ham
  • salt to taste
  • 1 1/2 cups water

Instructions

  1. Place the frozen green beans into a large pot.
  2. Peel the onion and cut it into several pieces, then add to the pot.
  3. Open the can of round potatoes and add them to the pot.
  4. Add the slice of country cured ham to the pot.
  5. Pour water into the pot.
  6. Cook on medium to medium-high heat for approximately 1 hour.
  7. Check periodically to see if salt is needed, some salt will come from the ham.
