Ingredients

  • 12 slices bread no crust
  • 1/2 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese grated
  • 1/2 lb. Swiss cheese grated
  • 1 lb. bacon fried and crumbled
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. Lay bread slices in two layers in the pan.
  3. Cover each layer with grated cheese and sprinkle with crumbled bacon.
  4. Mix eggs, milk, and salt together in a bowl.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the layered bread, cheese, and bacon.
  6. Let stand overnight in the refrigerator.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes until golden and set.
