Ingredients

  • 1 head cauliflower
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

  1. Parboil the cauliflower for 10 minutes, then cool and separate into flowerets.
  2. Beat the egg with 1 tablespoon of water.
  3. Dip each cauliflower piece into the beaten egg mixture.
  4. Then coat the egg-dipped cauliflower in bread crumbs.
  5. Repeat the dipping and coating process for a second time.
  6. Heat shortening in a frying pan.
  7. Fry the coated cauliflower until golden brown.
