- Sift the flour.

- Bring the syrup, butter, and brown sugar to a boil in a pan over medium heat.

- Drop batter by level teaspoonfuls about 3 inches apart onto a lightly greased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 5 to 6 minutes, baking 8 or 9 cookies at a time.
- Let the cookies set a little before removing from the cookie sheet.
