Ingredients

  • 8 slices bread
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups milk or eggnog
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Arrange 8 slices of bread in a greased baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together 6 eggs, 1/2 cup sugar, 2 cups milk or eggnog, and a pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg.
  3. Pour the egg mixture over the bread slices, ensuring they are well coated.
  4. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
  5. Next morning, remove from refrigerator and preheat the oven to 350°F.
  6. Bake uncovered for about 30 minutes until golden brown and set.
